  1. Shareware offers an excellent way to try a huge variety of
  2. computer software without prior purchase.  Shareware can be
  3. found through mail order distributors, and can be purchased
  4. at many computer stores throughout the nation.  Often, dozens
  5. of programs can be obtained on a single CD-ROM.  What are the
  6. disadvantages of shareware?  Most shareware authors, since they
  7. are just a one man operation, do not have access to several
  8. computers for testing.  As most of you know, a program that
  9. works perfectly on one computer may not work on another.
